Townhouse

Notting Hill — London

The family home of Kim Hersov, co-founder of fashion line Talitha and her artist husband was a derelict 19th century, Grade II listed house upon acquisition. After a complete strip-out the original architectural features were reconsidered as a requirement of its historical designation, while contemporary intervention was made where allowed.

The goal was to make a family home that reflects the diverse background and spirit of its owners. Sentimental influences from her childhood, his own art and pieces from their collection, ethnic artefacts, vintage textiles, and a collection of furniture and objects from a variety of eras and cultures, all provided a contrast of styles, an elegance that is both bohemian and contemporary.
